Discipleship Groups
What are Discipleship Groups?
Some churches have Bible study groups where it's all Bible but no life or relationship. Other churches have life groups where it's all life and relationship but no Bible. At Cross & Crown, our mid-week small groups are committed to having both: the Bible and Life Together.

Discipleship Groups are where we can grow deeper in Christ and closer as a church. In an ever-growing church family, it's where we can be known and belong.
Every week, 10-14 men and women gather as a Discipleship Group to go deeper in word, prayer and fellowship.

Our vision is that we might see every member of Cross & Crown grow into Christ-like maturity together.

As a discipleship ministry of Cross & Crown, our Discipleship Network is only open to members and regulars of our church. This allows us to know and care for every person who calls Cross & Crown home.

"We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ."
Colossians 1:28
Our locations & times

We have 20 Discipleship Groups across the inner, central & outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. They meet for 2 hours on Tuesday to Friday evenings.

In our groups, we want to encourage the fellowship of men and women, married and single, old and young. However, some groups are more catered towards the needs of specific groups of people, e.g. seniors, young families and university students.

Discipleship Network Values
  • Word-Soaked
We want God's word sitting at the heart of our discipleship (Col 3:16)
  • Prayer-Filled
We want prayer to be the defining mark of our discipleship (Matt 6:9-13)
  • Inter-Generational
We want both the young and the old to be pointing one another to Jesus (Titus 2:1-8)
  • Team-Based
Discipleship is not a solo endeavour, but a partnership shared in the gospel (Phil 1:3)
  • Mission-Hearted
We want to make disciples who are on mission to make disciples (Acts 1:8)
